Polpa Brasil is located in a charming city in Santa Catarina: Fraiburgo. For this reason, our activities began with the production of dehydrated apples, since we are located in its main producing region.

Polpa has a unique processing technology that allows producing a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, delivering textures, colors, and nutrients, all preserving nutritional characteristics and valuing the authenticity of each product.


Because it is based in a production region, Polpa understands the crops and their seasons, knowledge that, combined with the capacity of preparation and storage of fruits and vegetables, ensures stable supply throughout the year.

Preprocessing

A step in which the fruit is sliced, washed, concentrated, or formulated.



Dehydration

The process eliminates the water content in fruits by evaporation, with heat and mass transfer.

Finishing

We finish the product by cutting in different shapes and sizes, according to the final application.

  • Dehydration is the key to success

    In Polpa, we dehydrate fruits and vegetables slowly, using hot air, in which the fruit is heated and all the internal moisture migrates to the surface, dragged by the air stream.


    This process makes a total difference in the final quality of the fruits and ensures microbiological control and a stable and long shelf life. Also, the removal of water concentrates the sugar, accentuating the flavor and enhancing the colors - one of the secrets of the Polpa Brasil.
